ELIAS-ELLIS-VISMAC Winter School 2025: Program and Highlights

Scientific Program

The Winter School will feature a schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with lectures by ELLIS Fellows and renowned experts from academia and industry. Key topics include:

1. Large-scale foundation models
2. Self-supervised and multi-modal representation learning
3. Multi-modal learning for robotics
4. Machine learning for sustainable solutions
 

The program also includes poster presentations by PhD students, tutorial sessions, and keynote speeches, with 30% of the time dedicated to interactive, student-led discussions.

 

Networking and Social Events

Participants will enjoy social events in Brunico and nearby areas, creating opportunities to network with peers, mentors, and industry sponsors in a relaxed, picturesque setting.

 

Who Can Attend?

The Winter School is open to PhD students, postdocs, fellows, scholars, and industry sponsors, with a participant limit of 100. Special spots are reserved for local PhD students and members of CVPL, the Italian Association for Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, and Machine Learning.
